Paige Joanne Lussier Johnson grew up in CT where she was first bitten by the acting
bug in a 7th grade production of TOM SAWYER. Paige played the boisterous Widow
Douglas, and fell in love with an audience's laughter. At Windham High School Paige
immersed her self in all aspects of theater and acting. By her senior year she was
President of the drama club, and President of her class. While in high school she
attended Wesleyan Universities Center for Creative Youth a summer long residency for
creative youth. This intense study helped Paige decide that theater was the career she
wanted to pursue. In College Paige toured with a murder mystery dinner theater troupe
where she honed her comic timing and Improv skills. While obtaining her degree from
Keene State College Paige studied all aspects of theater...acting, directing, history,
lighting, scenic painting, set construction, props, costumes, stage management, & and
producing.
Paige received her BA from Keene State College in Theatre with a specialization in
acting and directing (And, a double minor in women's studies and psychology) in 2002.
Paige moved to NYC in November of 2002, as a Production Assistant/Intern for an
Off-Broadway Production JOE AND BETTY & with Padua Playwrights. Paige soon
moved her way up from PA to House Manager and Costume Mistress. This job led to
many other fantastic positions in theater management. Paige has worked for MCC,
New Group, Playwrights Horizons, Signature Theater and Northern Stages in house
management and technical positions.
Paige is also a director, producer and writer. She has produced an original play LOST
AND FOUND as part of a play development series at Manhattan Theater Source.
Paige also adapted, co-directed, and produced an Adaptation of Sophocles’ Antigone
using Shakespeare’s Cannon and Sophocles text to tell the story of two sisters-
Antigone and Ismene in a production called MY DEAR SISTER at Shetler Theatre 54
in Manhattan. Paige also adapted original suffrage plays, and songs and
produced/directed THE ROSIE FESTIVAL- A SUFFRAGE COLLECTION at the
duplex cabaret theater in NYC.
Currently Paige is performing and writing sketch in NYC, and Improv (which is like
writing in the moment on stage!) and has also performed Stand Up at many comedy
clubs all over Manhattan including Gotham, and Caroline’s on Broadway. You can also

As an actress Paige has had the pleasure of participating in Developmental Workshops
and Readings at Ars Nova Theater with the Underwood Theater Company reading the
stage directions. Paige participated in the workshop staged readings of THE CLEAN
HOUSE by Sarah Ruhl with Marsha Mason, Peter Strauss, MaryLouise Burke &
Directed by Moises Kaufman and WORRY BABY by Marc Spitz with Paul Rudd,
Swoosie Kurtz, Armando Reisco & Directed by Andy Goldberg. Paige is constantly
striving to learn more and grow as an actor and artist. She has danced in workshops
with Mare Nostrum Elements, Participated in underground art showcases, Sang and
danced in cabarets, done stand-up comedy, toured with short form & long form Improv
groups and dinner theatre troups, performed in experimental acting/writing
collaborations. Paige has appeared in commercials, industrials, and award winning
independent films: LOST IN TRANSIT which won best comedic acting at the Progeny
Film Festival 2005 and JUMP START which was nominated for best dramatic short at
the Action on Film Festival in Pasadena, CA 2008.
Some of Paige's favorite theatre acting roles include SHELBY in Steel Magnolias,
Frankie in THE VOICE OF THE PRAIRIE, Helen in THE MIRACLE WORKER (at
age 20!), Jan in THE BEDROOM FARCE, Terri in LADY HOUSE BLUES, Ellen
Jean in SELKIE, Puck in a MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM, Perdita in THE
WINTERS TALE and Ismene in ANTIGONE.
Since Paige has been in NY she has had the opportunity to work for an amazing
spectrum of stars and talent. These inspirational artists have given Paige the Faith to
keep going. Paige has taken classes and studied with many of New Yorks best and
brightest including John Basil at the American Globe Theater Conservatory, Linda Smith
at Manhattan Comedy School, James Price at the Acting Studio, and Ali Farahnakian
of the People's Improv Theater. Paige has spent a month studying intensively In Denver
CO in 2006 with the National Theater Conservatory Summer Acting Intensive training
with Geoff Kent, Anne Penner, Bob Davidson, Hillary Blair, Michael Cobb, Jennifer
Rincon, Cathy Reinking, Nola Rocco, Larry Hecht, and Kathy Emerich. Paige performs
regularly with the Improv and Comedy groups Washington Sidepost, and No Laugh
Track Required.
Becoming a success means different things to different people, and Paige considers
herself successful in her career aspirations, because she is lucky enough to be doing
what she loves. While she may not be on Broadway, she has been collecting a treasure
chest of wisdom from those in her field that inspire her to continue on the journey of
